The Directors of Planning Solutions Consulting have been responsible for developing a number of major new tourism concepts. One concept is the all weather year round forest holiday village product known as ‘Oasis Villages’ and each Village represents an investment in excess of £100 million. Oasis was subsequently acquired by Center Parcs.

Our sister company Planning Solutions Limited was established in 1995 and operates a number of leisure and tourism businesses. We work closely with our sister company and this ensures that strategic and analytical work is reinforced through 15 years of direct operational experience in the tourism and leisure market places. These include

Conkers a £16 million day visitor attraction in the Heart of the National Forest. Covering a 120 acre site Conkers attracts over 220,000 visitors per annum including 35,000 education based visits. Planning Solutions Limited has recently re-opened the Coors Visitor Centre (formerly the Bass Museum) as the National Brewery Centre. The attraction is an important heritage asset and tells the story of brewing in the UK through the use of interactive technology and live actors.

Planning Solutions Limited has invested in each business and are responsible for the development and operation of all areas from general admissions through to catering, retail, education, events and corporate functions.

Planning Solutions Limited also runs a Harry Ramsden’s Franchise in Brighton, a cafe bar in a healthy living centre in Peckham and Onboard TV a specialist tourist and community information service on Wightlink ferries operating between the Isle of Wight and the mainland.

Our heritage
PSCL can trace its roots back to the Rank Group, one of the UK’s leading leisure and tourism companies. Rank has developed and managed a number of major leisure brands including Butlins, Haven, Warner and Shearings. In 1995 Planning Solutions Limited was formed after a management buyout from Rank Holiday and Hotels Development Limited. Planning Solutions Limited developed a strong reputation for managing leisure businesses and has provided a consultancy service to a number of commercial and government clients. After ten years Planning Solutions Consulting Limited was formed to focus on research and consultancy based projects. Both companies are based in the same office and work closely together to manage tourism businesses and deliver tourism, leisure and regeneration projects.
